Exeter 1-6 Chesterfield

Exeter 1-6 Chesterfield

Exeter were beaten, or stunned would be a better analysis, 6-1 at St James Park on Tuesday by Chesterfield.

Jamie Winter (38) put Chesterfield ahead and Alan Goodall (44), with the aid of a deflection, added a second just before the break. Adam Stansfield (49) pulled one back for Exeter shortly after the break to give the home side hope. Jack Lester (63) scored another for the guests just after the hour and Lester (76) again added a fourth, with the fifth coming two minutes later from Jamie Ward (78). Darren Currie (88) completed the rout with two minutes to play.

A stunning result for Chesterfield, but how do you think Exeter will respond?
