Exeter youngsters out of youth cup

Exeter City lost to Cheltenham Town in the first round of the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday evening.

A healthy crowd of almost 500 turned up at St. James Park to see City slip to a 4-0 defeat.

The player who stole the show was Cherry`s right back Kyle Haynes, who remarkably scored all four of his side`s goals.

Exeter City`s Head of Youth Simon Hayward was disappointed, but felt that the scoreline flattered the visitors. Speaking to the Official Site Hayward said "We were never really under any pressure and our goalkeeper didn`t have to make too many saves but we lost 4-0".
