Exeter City`s first campaign in League 1 since 1994 has seen crowds rise at St. James Park.
City`s average crowd of around 4,800 in last seasons League 2 promotion campaign was the club`s highest for more than 30 years.
This season only 3 out of 12 League matches have played out to less than 5,000 fans. The biggest crowd was the club`s first ever League meeting with South West neighbours Yeovil Town, with an attendance of 6,650. That promises to be trumped in the next home game when runaway leaders Leeds United descend on St. James Park.
With some important matches against attractive opposition in the second half of the season, the Grecians should attain an average attendance of over 5,000 for the first time in the post-war period.
