City reserves recover to earn draw

Exeter City and Swansea played out a 1-1 draw in the totesport.com combination reserve league.

City fell behind early on courtesy of Dutch midfielder Kenny Agustien`s goal. Agustien was part of a Swansea side that contained first team players such as Craig Beattie and David Cotterill.

But after dominating the game for long period`s City drew level in the second half through young striker Tom Nichols. Nichols was first to react when midfielder Aaron Dawson`s shot was parried and duly poked home from close range.

City had chances to win it late on through Jake Thomson and Eliott Frear but 1-1 was how it stayed.

The Grecians reserve team are next in action on Tuesday 25th January when Bournemouth are the visitors.

Exeter: Krysiak, Searle, Bennett, Furzer, Frear, Western, Cozic, Dawson, Shephard, (Gosling 50) Thomson, Nichols.

Swansea: Makabu-Makalambay, Alfei, Whatley, Walsh, Davies, Agustien, Smith, MacDonald, Cotterill, Thomas (Edwards 60), Beattie.
