Paul Tisdale was not too despondent despite his Exeter City team suffering another home defeat on Saturday.
Tuesday night offers the perfect opportunity to rectify poor home form when Tranmere Rovers are the visitors to St James` Park.
Speaking to exetercityfc.co.uk Tisdale said:
It was a really improved performance on the last home game. The players played with determination, spirit and there were some exceptional performances in there.
Of course I'm disappointed we lost but we created enough chances and I'm very pleased with the players' attitude and their determination to win it.
It's easy to be clouded by the emotion of a loss but we didn't play badly at all, I've said to the players well done and it's onto Tuesday.
We had four players with fitness tests on Saturday morning; Steve Tully, Troy, Richard Duffy and Billy Jones.
Tully was the only one we were confident with after the fitness test and then it was really two from the other three.
decided not to play Troy so Billy and Duffers both had to play, neither fully fit. Billy had to come off at half time in pain and Richard came off because he was beginning to flag.
It's a case of assessing them before Tuesday now.
We did pile on the pressure and sometimes it doesn't go for you and their keeper made some very good saves.
A much improved performance so it's onto Tuesday.'
