City pick up award for Charlton victory

Exeter City have won the LMA performance of the week award for their Excellent 3-1 success away at Charlton.

It`s the first time that City have won the award this season.

After a goalless first half at The Valley, strikes from Liam Sercombe, John O`Flynn and Ryan Harley put City 3-0 up before Charlton scored a late consolation.

It was the ninth victory away from home this season in all competitions for City, a marked improvement on last season.

After the game last week Tisdale spoke of his delight at the performance:

'It's been a turbulent few weeks with the disappointment of the three home losses, and then a couple of weeks later we've won two away games,' he said.

'I don't think we were lucky today, I think we deserved our win.

'I'm very proud to be Exeter manager, and I was delighted for the supporters at the end, I really am pleased for them.'
