City appeal Colchester reds

Exeter City have decided to appeal the red cards shown to defenders Steve Tully and Scott Golbourne in Saturdays 5-1 defeat at Colchester.

Both were dismissed by referee Karl Evans for fouls on Colchester striker Ashley Vincent.

Tully pleaded his innocence by claiming he made contact with the ball trying to deny Vincent a free run on goal in the first half.

Replays showed that Golbourne may have not made contact with Vincent at all for his alleged trip.

If the appeals are successful the both will be available for tonight`s rearranged game with Swindon at |St James` Park.
