Grecians have part to play in relegation scrap
Despite not being one of sides struggling at the wrong end of League One Exeter City will have a say in who falls through the trap door into League Two.
In their seven remaining fixtures City still have to play Dagenham & Redbridge, Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, Tranmere and Sheffield Wednesday, for all of whom relegation is a distinct possibility.
For City fans nothing would be sweeter then relegating penniless arch rivals Plymouth Argyle in the final home game of the season, then popping up to Hillsborough the following weekend to sign-off the 2010/11 season by sealing Wednesday`s fate too.
Fellow strugglers Swindon visited the Park on Tuesday and looked like a team destined for the drop. Maybe on Saturday when Dagenham come to town they will prove a sterner test.
welve months ago it was City who were scrapping for every point they could get in their survival fight. This time the shoe will be on the other foot when these fixtures come along. How times change.
