Reserves laeve it late to down Swindon

Exeter City reserves left it late to triumph 3-2 over Swindon last night at St James` Park.

Ben Watson had given City a dream start scoring twice in the first two minutes in a frantic opening. Watson smashed home into the top corner when through on goal before converting Jake Thomson`s cutback less than sixty seconds later.

With only eight minutes on the clock Swindon had pulled a goal back through Jordan Pavett`s neat finish. The 19-year-old striker won Samsung`s 'Win A Pro Contract` competition earlier this year.

Swindon`s equaliser came with 10 minutes left to go. City failed to clear their lines and substitute Harry Grant was on hand to turn the ball home.

This galvanised City into action again and minutes from time they grabbed a winner. Thompson`s pinpoint cross allowed Tom Nichols to take a touch before finishing neatly to give City the victory.

City: Wood, Searle, Keane, Bennett (Taylor), Frear, Thomson, Dawson, Cozic (Keats), Gosling (Western), Watson, Nichols
