League one round-up - Exeter 3-0 Tranmere

League one round-up: 26th-28th November 2011

The latest weekend of the football league season has been and gone, the npower league one is rounded-up in this article.

Bournemouth 0-0 Oldham
The points where shared between Bournemouth and Oldham.

Neither side could manage the breakthrough so the points had to be shared following a 0-0 draw.

The poor run that Preston are on was continued further with Bury inflicting another defeat on them.

A goal from Amoo (15) early in the first half saw hosts Bury through to a 1-0 win.

Carlisle 1-0 Colchester
Little could separate Carlisle and Colchester but what little did was in host Carlisle's favour as they collected the points.

Just the one goal, from Thirlwell (22), midway through the first half was enough to give Carlisle a 1-0 win over The U's.

Chesterfield 0-1 Sheff United
Chesterfield suffered a late defeat at home against Sheff United.

With a goalless draw looking on Evans (82) forced home the only goal of the game in the final 10-minutes to give the visitors a 1-0 win.

Exeter 3-0 Tranmere
Exeter maintained their good form of late with another win, and an impressive one at that at home against Tranmere.

A first half goal from Bennett (41) was added to by second half strikes from Coles (66) and Logan (78) to give the hosts a 3-0 win.

Hartlepool 0-1 Yeovil
Yeovil recorded an important win at Hartlepool.

Just the one goal from Ngala (25) was enough to hand the visitors a 1-0 win and all three points,

MK Dons 4-3 Wycombe
An injury-time goal from Wycombe made little difference to the outcome of the game but did prove to be the last strike of seven at MK Dons.

Bowditch's (14) goal had given MK Dons a half time lead but two goals in a minute from Beavon (51) and Trotta (52) then saw Wycombe take the lead. Bowditch (55) struck soon after to bring the hosts level before Ibehre (66) and Doumbe (71) put MK in control. Beavon (90) scored again for the visitors but that was a consolation in a 4-3 defeat.

Notts County 3-2 Scunthorpe
Notts County led, then were behind before finally striking late on to secure a home win over Scunthorpe.

Pearce (39) looked to have given Notts County a half time lead but Barcham (44) struck just before the break to level things up. Grant (53) then gave Scunthorpe the lead early in the second half but shortly before the hour the visitors were reduced to 10-men when Norwood (57) saw red.

The host capitalised on this with J Hughes (65) levelling up before Kelly (82) struck in the final minutes to give Notts County a 3-2 win.

Rochdale 1-2 Brentford
Home advantage did little to help Rochdale as the slumped to defeat against Brentford.

Alexander (11) gave Brentford an early lead from the spot, which they took into the half time break. Holness (65) equalised for Rochdale midway through the second half but in the final 15-minutes Saunders (78) scored again for the visitors to give them a 2-1 win.

Sheff Wed 1-0 Leyton Orient.
Sheff Wednesday recorded a narrow home victory over Leyton Orient.

Johnson's (19) goal in the first half was all that was needed to give Wednesday a 1-0 win.

Stevenage 0-0 Walsall
The sides could not be separated at Stevenage with them and Walsall playing out a draw.

Not only was it a draw but it was a 0-0 draw.

Charlton 2-0 Huddersfield
The phenomenal unbeaten record, stretching over 43 league games, that Huddersfield had finally came to an end on Monday night at Oldham.

Home advantage, and two first half goals from Kermorgant (23) and Ephraim (41), helped The Addicks to a 2-0 win to consolidate their place at the top of the league one table.
