Tisdale Pleased With Defensive Progress

Paul Tisdale has lauded the progress of our defence since the start of the season and he believes we are now reaping the rewards of their consistency.

Speaking to the Official Site Tisdale pointed to the start of the season, and the performances of our backline since.

'The defence at that time was just setting into a pattern, and getting to know each other. If you look at the last six games, that back four and Artur have been very consistent. If you go from the halfway point of the season we've been very strong at the back, I don't want to tempt fate, but I don't think we would have made those mistakes now.'

Responding to the news of Matt Oakley being out, Tisdale has said that he's confident that others will step up to the mark and perform for us in the games he'll be missing. Although he does add that Oakley himself is probably surprised at how fit he has been for us so far this season being more of a 'senior player'.

Tisdale is also hopeful that Bauza can now find himself some fitness and form and play a role for us as we see out the campaign.
