Cureton Signs For Cheltenham

Jamie Cureton has signed a one year deal with Cheltenham Town.

The striker turns 38 in August, and Paul Tisdale unfortunately couldn't offer him a new deal at the present time, so he will join them in time for the new season.

In two spells at St James Park, Cureton made 96 appearances and found the net 42 times.

Speaking to the Official Site as news broke about his new contract, Tisdale wished him the best and thanked him for his contribution at the club.

'I have to thank Jamie for all his efforts for us and for his contribution in front of goal. Jamie is a proven goalscorer with a huge desire to play. He is a player that we would otherwise have looked to have kept, but we know we have to progress within our financial limitations.'
