Cureton Thanks Club & Fans

Cureton Thanks Club & Fans

Following his signing at Cheltenham, Jamie Cureton has thanked Exeter and the fans saying it will be a wrench to leave.

The 37 year old striker was out of contract as we know, and has signed a 12 month deal at Cheltenham. Speaking to the Official Site after securing his future, he said of his time with us.

'I've loved every minute to be honest. The two seasons I've had at the club have been brilliant and I couldn't have asked for any more from them. I understand that the club needs to go a different way and cut budgets and so they've not been able to offer me a deal, which is a shame. But I had a really good chat with Paul and he explained everything to me, so I understood what had to happen.'

Cureton adds that he hopes he'll get a good reception when he returns to St James Park because the fans have always been brilliant with him.
