'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dawson Believes Exeter Will Surprise People

21 year old right back Aaron Dawson has said he believes that Exeter's young crop of players will surprise people next season.

Speaking to the Exeter Express & Star ahead of pre season training, Dawson pointed to the players who will be making the step up from reserve football last season to being in the first team squad and he believes that given a little bit of time to adjust, that potential will come to fruition.

'We have got some really good young players at the club. We had a good side in the reserves last season, we were going to Premier League teams and beating their reserve sides. I think the quality is there, but obviously it's going to be a learning curve.'

He adds that despite the learning curve and the natural up and down nature of a young players' form as they make the step up, he believes that as the season progresses Exeter will be well placed to surprise quite a few as the squad gels together.

In the interview he also talks about his own hopes for the season and the desire he has to become a regular in the side.
