Exeter To Mark 25th Hillsborough Anniversary

Exeter To Mark 25th Hillsborough Anniversary

English football has decided to honour the memory of those fans who died at Hillsborough back in April 1989 in the game between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest by having a minutes silence to acknowledge the loss of 96 lives.

The Premiership, The Football League and the Football Conference over the weekend of April 11th to 14th will delay all kick offs by six minutes in recognition of the fact that the game itself was cancelled after that amount of time.

At six minutes past the hour of kick off, there will then be a minutes silence held in all grounds, including the FA Cup matches taking place over that weekend, and therefore all games will begin at seven minutes past the hour.

Therefore, our game against Cheltenham will commence at 3.07pm on Saturday April 12th.

All games over this weekend will be adhering to this, so all will begin seven minutes later than originally scheduled.
