'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tisdale - Good Way To End Brazil Tour

Manager Paul Tisdale has said that our three one victory over Rio Cricket e Associacao Atletica was the perfect way to bring the curtain down on our tour of Brazil.

It was the third and final game of our visit to the home of this summer's World Cup and whilst we did face obviously tougher tests against Fluminense and Tupi in our previous games, this was another good opportunity in the warm weather for the players to build on their fitness and continue working on the team shape and ideas ahead of the coming league campaign.

Speaking to the Official Site after full time, the gaffer explained.

'It was another enjoyable game. They were thre games that we knew very little about until we got here, in terms of the opposition and where we were playing. They have all been very different. We had the celebration game on Sunday with Fluminense, then we had the tough encounter against Tupi, and now a good game of football. I'm very pleased to say that we have got through the games with few injuries - Jordan Moore-Taylor being the only possible worry - but we've got through it. We won games, scored goals and I'm very pleased with the way the players played.'

Tisdale goes on to say that it's been a fantastic experience as although the game is the same, it's football, there is a different type of football on display in Brazil and we've immersed ourselves in that and it's been pleasurable and educational in many ways.

Of course with the Brazil experience over now, it's back to the game we know as we host Swansea on Tuesday so the players will have to quickly adjust again, but he hopes they will be the better for it as they continue to develop individually.
