Reid In Team Of Midweek (17/3/17)

Reid In Team Of Midweek (17/3/17)

Exeter City are represented in the latest Football League team of midweek that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Reuben Reid in the three nil victory over Cheltenham Town in midweek at St James Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Reid was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'After suffering back-to-back defeats, Exeter returned to winning ways with a convincing win against Cheltenham Town, and Reid bagged a brace in the 3-0 success. The striker's first came from the penalty spot, before doubling his tally after the break after good work between himself and Jake Taylor.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Reid for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Dean Lyness (Blackpool), Greg Leigh (Bury), Cian Bolger (Fleetwood Town), Scott Harrison (Hartlepool United), Sean McConville (Accrington Stanley), Danny Rose (Portsmouth), James Coppinger (Doncaster Rovers), Filipe Morais (Bolton Wanderers), Lee Erwin (Oldham Athletic), Reuben Reid (Exeter City), Craig Mackail-Smith (Peterborough United).

Manager - Paul Lambert (Wolverhampton Wanderers).
