Swindon Town return to St. James Park for the second time in seven days to take on Exeter City in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy.
The Grecians were fortunate to rescue a point in last Tuesday`s league 1 encounter with a late goal from Richard Logan. Both teams won at the weekend, with our visitors winning 3-2 away at Brentford to ensure they remain unbeaten in the last ten league games.
Changes will surely be made to both teams, although Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told the Exeter Express and Echo that the club`s disappointing record in cup competitions since he has been at the helm is not for the want of trying.
You can never second guess Tisdale`s selections, but I reckon Richard Logan may get a chance to prove himself from the start, especially after his late leveller last week. I`m not sure whether the centre back partnership will be broken up for this match, but expect a couple of changes in personnel in the middle of the park.
If he plays he will have a point to prove
Swindon have a few injury concerns. Winger Lloyd Macklin has been ruled out for between our and six weeks after fracturing his left leg. Tope Obadeyi, Alan O'Brien, Hasney Aljofree and Kurt Hammonds remain on the treatment table, but new signing Charlie Austin could make is debut.
