PREVIEW: Walsall v Exeter City
Exeter City make the rather simple journey up the motorway to face Walsall. The Grecians will want to avenge last Saturday`s mauling at Huddersfield, and this match on paper is certainly one in which points may be expected on the road. Walsall have only won once in six games at home in the league, whilst drawing four of the other five. This clearly points to a 1-1 draw, reminiscent of our game at Leyton Orient.
Walsall Team News:
Walsall boss Chris Hutchings will be without on-loan central defender Clayton McDonald who is suffering from a groin injury. Manny Smith is likely to slot in beside Captain Mark Hughes in the heart of the Saddlers defence.
Rhys Weston, Richard Taundry, and Richard Davies all participated in training on Thursday and should be available for selection.
Player to watch: Darren Byfield
The experienced striker has the ability to cause problems for the Grecians back line.
Exeter City Team News:
Paul Tisdale has the luxury of a fully fit squad with the exception of goalkeeper who is around 5-6 weeks from a return after suffering a setback in his rehabilitation from a knee injury.
But the situation is far from clear in regard to tactical selections. Liam Sercombe is pressing for a recall after scoring the only goal for the reserves in their victory over Swansea City in midweek. In attack, it`s anyone`s guess and the front one (or two) will be any out of Stuart Fleetwood, Adam Stansfield, Richard Logan, and Barry Corr.
Player to watch: Craig Noone
Once again, Noone is a player can create an opportunity out of nowhere.
