Exeter City meet Brentford this Saturday at St. James Park in a match between the top two sides from last seasons league 2. Whilst the last meeting between the two sides in April was a top of the table clash, tomorrows clash is much the opposite. Our visitors Brentford made a promising start to life back in the third tier, but had only won one in nine games before last weekends 2-0 win over Stockport County at Griffin Park.
The Grecians will be pleased to welcome back midfield playmaker Ryan Harley from illness. Defender Danny Seaborne is also available after overcoming injury, while Richard Duffy returns from suspension.
Back from illness, Harley has the potential to fashion an opportunity at any moment
Bee`s goalkeeper Nikki Bull is still struggling with a shoulder injury, so Lewis Price will continue to deputise from the former Aldershot shot stopper.
Marcus Bean is in contention after a one match ban, while Ben Strevens, who was a target for Exeter this summer, could be included in the squad for the first time after recovering from a broken leg.
The striker has been in good goalscoring form over the past few weeks
The teams met last season in League 2. Brentford left St. James Park with all 3 points in between Christmas and the New Year with a 2-0 victory, whilst a last gasp equaliser rescued a point for the bees in a crunch meeting between the top two at Griffin Park.
